Homework
Homework is given out every Monday, and is expected to return on the Friday of that week. I always tell students to take their time and do a little bit each night. I also encourage them not to wait until Thursday night to do the whole thing! This kind of homework format is designed to help students plan their time accordingly, and to not overload themselves on any single night. Students should be reading 20 min per night, and then recording the title and author on their reading log. (20 min is a minimum; many choose to read more!) Every homework packet has a spot for a parent signature. I appreciate knowing that the homework was reviewed with a parent. This is a time for you to engage with your child and learn about what he/she is learning at school. |

I can best be reached by email: [email protected] I check this email often, and do my best to respond quickly. I have compiled your emails as well so I can communicate with you all quickly and efficiently. If you need to talk to me via phone, call the school at (860) 349-7240, and someone will connect you. Healthy Snacks Please try to send your child with a healthy snack during the day. We eat snack in the morning, sometime around 10:30. (Depending on the schedule for that day) Suggestions for healthy snacks: yogurt, pretzel sticks, crackers, vegetables, fruit slices, etc. If you're sending something the requires a spoon, please send the spoon with your child! Thank you! |
